TARS TRADING

The agreement, in plain language

Terms of Service

Last updated 2 August 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and Tars Trading. Using the site means you accept them. We have tried to write them the way we write everything else here — so you can actually read them.

What Tars Trading is

A simulated-money trading school. You get $100,000 in fake capital, a terminal that behaves like a professional one, real market data, and an academy. Nothing you do moves real money.

We are not a broker. We are not a broker-dealer, an investment adviser, an exchange, or a bank. We do not execute real orders, hold your money, or custody securities. No order placed here reaches any market. See the disclosures for the longer version.

Not advice

Everything on this site — lessons, the assistant, the analysts you build, every number on every screen — is educational. None of it is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold anything. The assistant is deliberately built never to give you a directive trade, and if it ever appears to, it is still not advice and you should not treat it as such.

Decisions you make with real money are yours. We are not liable for them.

Your account

You need to be 13 or older to have an account. If you are under 18, you should have a parent or guardian's permission.

Keep your password to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your login. Give us an address you can actually receive mail at — password recovery goes there, and without it we cannot get you back into a locked account.

One account per person. Creating extra accounts to climb the standings is the one form of cheating that affects other people, and we will remove accounts that do it.

Fair use

Don't:

That last one matters more than it sounds. A simulated track record shown to someone else as though it were real is a lie that can cost them money.

Who owns what

The site, its code, its design, and the academy content are ours. What you create — your journal entries, notes, and analyst configurations — stays yours. You give us only the permission we need to store it and show it back to you.

Market data belongs to the venues and vendors it comes from, and reaches you under their terms.

The service as it is

Tars Trading is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, that market data will be complete, timely, or accurate, or that a simulated fill matches what a real market would have given you. Where a price is delayed or stale, the terminal says so — pay attention to that label.

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, and our total liability to you is limited to what you have paid us — which, at present, is nothing.

Ending it

You can close your account at any time from Settings. It takes effect immediately: your access ends, every device is signed out, and your name and email come off the record straight away. The remaining simulated data is erased 30 days later.

We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms. If we do it for anything other than abuse, we will tell you why.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects you, we will say so on the site before it takes effect. Continuing to use Tars Trading after that means you accept the new version.
